In this era I think Emerson would be satisfied by seeing the students learn and use the Internet more at school because that is what most jobs use now-a-days. Emerson like the students to learn stuff that is related to the society so when you graduate you'll be ready and set for the real world. Since this era is mostly based on the internet, we would be able to learn new ways that we didn't know the internet cans do and we the youth can show something because the youth are underrated. As Emerson says "youth is everywhere in place" which helps the adult that anywhere our anytime there could be a youth that can change the world.
Emerson was the type of person to put one of his buddy's up and tell him to never give up because there a solution to everything in education. He brings out really strong message on to beer give up as a youth during your school years because after all those year of hard work they could really mean something to your wallet. I like this quote "do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail" because that can really help a student keep pushing to make his own business or to create something that this world has never seen before. That's one thing Emerson tried to help the youth getting an education, he tried to tell the world that the youth have some special powers in them but are to scared to bring them out. Emerson would really like to see this era change their education by giving the students more time to think what they want to do for living because there's some classes that you don't even need for your future.
I like how Emerson really tells us to never give up like if you ever fail a class he try's to explain to you on how to rise up from that fail and start gaining hope again. Emerson wouldn't really like the way that if you fail a class you have to repeat once again because in that you can really see that so students stop giving up and that person might've had some good ideas in his head. He would probably also like to see this era get rid of the textbooks because even though they have a lot of information is students get bored of that since we have all this technology we use at home and when it comes to reading most of us get lazy. "Our greatest glory is not in never failing but in rising up every time we fail", that's what a lot of people don't get that's it's never good to give up in school because if you fail a class you're basically wasting one year of your life.
I really don't think Emerson would like they way some of the teachers are teaching their students because there is some teachers out there that's aren't even respectful to their students. "The secret in education lies in respecting the student" really means a lot in this time because these students don't like to get told what to do so the teachers start getting on their bad side, even though it's the students fault in this one but the teachers should at least try to get them to understand instead of also talking back to them. This society in education is so messed up because here I our town there really isn't as much students that make it to a four year university but it all depends on how the city is and how the students starts getting involved in city trouble. Those are the facts that Emerson try's to make clear that it depend on the community or the city on what the student try's to achieve in school because if they live in a decent city there going to want a decent job, there is a few students that always try to reach the top gun and "cash out" for a better future. I learned a lot on Emerson on how the youth should never give up because we're the next generation of jobs so I will do my best to create something new in this world and never give up.
